please tell me it is true

could it be. I hope so Gosh

car crash

Seeing how there is much confusion on the fact to wether Brian is queer. I have decided to figure this out finally. If you look to the right side of the screen you will notice a poll has been added to get the opinion of everyone who visits the site please answer honestly and as many times as you want. I am also adding this link for anyone who is unsure of wether they are gay or not(Brian?). gay quiz

Also when asking my son Kyle (Who has a very good sense of gaydar) what he thinks of Uncle Brian. He just looks at me queerly (like this picture) and says "Fagget" So you decide what this meens.

Have you forgotten?

Love it or hate it, country music does some things better than any other form of music
like this for example...

Ok I am testing the pixs.... I picked a good one hope you guys like it...

What was #1 the week you were born (besides you)?

This is pretty fun!

Find out what song was #1 on the charts when you were born. You can check the US and UK charts. When I was born, Sonny and Cher were on top with "I Got You Babe". The Beatles were the most popular in the UK with, "Help!".

Try it!

Oh, and let everybody know what your songs were in the comments box.

McCarty One Last Time

Sorry for the hockey posts for those of you who don't care...

Darren penned a goodbye letter to the citizens of Hockeytown, I thought it was worth passing on:

Don't be sad it's over -- be happy it happened.

In the past few days, since the official word came of the buyout and as the status of my contract teetered, the reality that I'm not going to be a Red Wing anymore has set in, and I've taken some time to reflect.

I don't know if it's maturity ('cause if you know me, that's never been an issue) or the painstaking reality of the past 12 months without hockey. Either way, I'm saddened to leave an organization in a place where I've grown up, raised a family, been part of a first-class and first-rate team, won three Stanley Cups and achieved great personal success.

But looking back, what I really feel is gratitude -- thankful for the opportunity to realize a childhood dream to play for my childhood team. Grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Ilitch and their entire family for letting this boy become a man and always treating my family as one of their own. Grateful to the entire Red Wing organization from Ken Holland and his staff, to John Hahn and Anne Marie Krappmann in the PR department for their ever tireless effort. Grateful to Piet Van Zant and Paul Boyer for patching me up and getting me back out on the ice. Grateful for the support and memories from everyone at the Joe whom I will miss seeing daily, and thankful to the media for not only their endless support of myself but in the way they've always supported the McCarty Cancer Foundation and my band Grinder.

What will I miss most about playing hockey in Detroit? That's simple. The fans. From the day-to-day coffee stop or gas station conversation to the people who say hello on the street or ask for an autograph at the checkout, there are no greater fans than those in Detroit.

These are the great things about my time as a Red Wing that I will always remember no matter where I go. Thank you to all of you. But please don't shed a tear 'cause it's over -- crack a smile 'cause it happened, and no one can ever take that away. I'll always be a Red Wing at heart, and Detroit will always be my home.

Much love to you all,

Darren McCarty, Red Wings No. 25

I'm going to throw out my PS2 now

I'm going to miss it very much. I'm especially going to miss Grand Theft Auto. I love pretending all the cops are Brian and trying to see how many Brians I can kill and how many different ways I can find to kill them. Then I try to beat my record...

But still, the PS2 just might have to go after seeing what this kid can do. I bow to the master.

Darren McCarty is no longer a Red Wing....

We all knew the new agreement was going to be tough. I was hoping it wouldn't be this tough...

I really wanted to post 2 dozen pictures as a tribute to D Mac, but then I realized there is really only one picture that is needed. One picture that says more about what this guy has meant to this team for the past 11 years than all the rest of the pictures put together.

Goodbye Darren. I'm sure gonna miss you, thanks for everything!

Check out my DMac links on the right.

I might be going to see Fantastic Four tonight

I hate all of you! Each and every one of you! You all suck!!!

I'm still right about this movie. SHUT UP!

The NHL lockout is over!

There will be an NHL season this year. I think this is just great! Rumors are that Hatcher and Cujo are gone, Yzerman will be back, and McCarty is on the bubble.

Here we have Jacob celebrating the new NHL season in a fine pink Red Wings outfit...

It has been reported that Brian set a new world record for undressing a baby upon seeing this. Fortunately, wearing pink doesn't actually make you gay. We are still studying what effect having Brian for a daddy has on gayness, but we're pretty sure the influence isn't good.

I think it's time to make sure we explain the codenames

With the recent activity from some contributors and with a new contributor showing up, I think we need to make it clear who everybody is:

Squiboda = John
Doughboy = Patrick
KJ = Kelly
CordedStorm2005 = Kevin
Mike Kerrigan = Rognar Destroyer of Worlds!!!

unidentified object

While taking a picture of one of our nephews; something jumped out of the river, ran in front of my camera, and jumped back in the water never to be seen again. I have reported this to the ubg organization. They have suggested this may be one of many sightings of BIGGUT, and are doing further research to verify this theory. If anyone knows exactly what this is, any insight will be appreciated.

Mikayla

Squiboda here:

First off, a big giant hug and kiss for KJ since she finally posted some pics. Very nice pics too. She let me pick one after they were developed.

I chose the first picture.

I didn't win it or anything (did I mention I won a free t-shirt?), I just got to pick one and get a 5X7. It really would look good on a t-shirt though.

I still don't know how they got Mikayla to pose for pictures like these. I have a scary feeling that she just might be a ham! Time will tell...

I'm so confused!

I thought we were the bad guys...

Check this out, make sure to watch the video...

The soldier who forgot to die

I really, really find it hard to have sympathy for anyone who starts praising God when they think they have killed someone...

Duke

You know how Duke would sometimes refuse to eat his food until you got down on the ground and pretended you really wanted to eat his food too? He would start growling and pushing you away from his bowl.

I always wondered what he did when we all went out to dinner and left him home alone with his bowl of food.

Now I know what that was like, thanks to this video clip:

I'm pretty sure it went something like this

Breed Like Bunnies - The Movie

A love story of epic proportions!

Whatever you do....

Don't let Kyle watch this:

Bug Bite!

I really like a blog with a theme!

This is some nice work! I figured it would be hard, but it was done really quick!!!!

Yes it is true!

I actually did win a free t-shirt for entering the best e-mail on the most recent IMAO podcast!

Maybe if everybody else realized how clever and funny I actually am they would give me free t-shirts to stuff in my fat mouth too!

So we have to be quick now, which t-shirt should I choose?

I can choose from these 6 wonderful prizes!

You really have to click on them and enlarge them and examine them thoroughly before you choose. I'm really partial to "Top 10 Gun Safety Tips" and "Know Thy Enemy: France", but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go with the classic "Nuke the Moon".

You are free to check them over and offer advice. I'm pretty sure they don't track what I do with the t-shirt once I get it, so I just might wear it rather than stuffing it in my fat mouth (with or without Doughboys help).

In honor of Detroit's hosting of the All-Star Game

Not the most positive cartoon I've seen, but Mike Thompson is always pretty good...

A very important announcement!

I'm much too busy and important to actually make the announcement right this minute, maybe I'll get around to it later tonight...

In the meantime, if you are really curious you could just listen to this weeks IMAO podcast which was posted just this afternoon.

IMAO podcast!

I get a mention in there and it's really cool!!!!

A Public Apology

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for threatening a certain family member. It was very wrong of me to use threats in order to try to get KJ to post pictures of her new daughter to this blog.

I'm sorry for implying that I would start posting pictures of monkeys and claiming they were pictures of her daughter if she didn't start posting. That was very wrong of me and I promise it won't happen again. It is never right to pretend any of my siblings gave birth to monkeys. I don't even know what I was thinking.

I still do reserve the right to do something like this though (which is pretty much the same but exactly the opposite...)

LOOK EVERYBODY! IT'S A MONKEY!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

Just in case anyone is curious...

This is what Kyle is watching...

It's sick and wrong, I know.
This is why I can't use my computer anymore. Posted by Picasa

I've got some bad news from comic-book movie world

I've been looking forward to this movie for months and after reading a few reviews, I'm going to have to say that not only am I not going to see it, I recommend YOU avoid it also...

Review #1: Terry Lawson of the Detroit Free Press is a predictable movie reviewer. His main point is that this is the first comic-book movie of the summer (as opposed to Batman Begins I assume) that is safe to just go ahead and drop your kids off to see (he's wrong about that I think). But the end of his review holds the death line: "At least it puts the comic back in the comic-book movie."

Ummm.... No thanks! If I wanted to see a movie put the comic back in a comic-book movie I would go watch

I'm just joking here, I'm not recommending this movie at all, I'm just trying to make a point!

Don't you dare rent or in any other way contribute to this movie.

Doughboy I'm looking in your direction....

So anyway, Terry Lawson's review has some unintentional tipoffs, I recommend you read the whole thing.

Review #2: An excellent review
Written by Stephen Greydanus who writes movie reviews for National Catholic Register explains this movie quite clearly. His review is definitely worth reading. It's not going to be a family movie, it's not going to be a good superhero movie, it's going to be a suckfest of epic proportions!

Stephen is a big fan of comic-book movies and has given good reviews where they are due (X-Men, X-2, Spiderman, Spiderman-2, Batman Begins) and ripped comic-book movies when they deserved it (all the other Batman movies). He's also really good at breaking the movies down into different categories so it is clear what is good and/or bad about it. This is especially good if you have children and are considering whether to take them to see a movie.

So anyway, I'm pretty sure we can safely avoid this movie which makes me kind of sad...

God Save The Queen!

Not much more to say after this mornings events.

Sounds like Tony Blair is going to stick to his guns which is definitely a good thing. Those Brits truly do know how to keep a stiff upper lip!

So, only a couple of days after America's birthday, this blog is raising the Union Jack in solidarity with our cousins on the other side of the pond. We always manage to get through these things together (except for that Revolution, and that War of 1812, and...). Well, you know what I mean!

Saturday night at the movies.

The Movie: The Pacifier

Critics corner:
Matt: "They say you're the Hulk, but I think you're cute" two thumbs up.

Jay: "Very very smart, active and I don't know." Confused; I think he liked it

Kyle: "Bye-bye see bye-bye" he laughed a lot.

The weather these last few weeks makes me miss the good old Detroit days something awful!!! Posted by Picasa

Seems like every time Mike comes for a visit...

This happens...

If I were him, I would either never leave home, or just move back up here.

ok i am not sure

Not sure if i did this right, i am trying.
